A bat-shark hybrid. Can it be done? Should it? Are there any snags we should take into account ahead of time?
My thoughts: Though the bat-shark hybrid idea is appealing to me, if we're going to pursue creating nature's greatest killing machine, should we perhaps choose an animal more ferocious and kill-crazy than a bat? Sure they can fly, but are there any deadlier flying creatures out there?

I was thinking that if we could incorporate a bear into this creation somehow, then we must do so.

Bears and sharks ARE, after all, nature's best friends.
Yeah bats do have a cool factor in that they are associated with Batman, but they aren't the brightest creatures in the sky. My cousins and I used to take great pleasure in throwing rocks up in the air and watching the bats crash land on the ground trying to go after them. Come to think of it, sharks aren't too smart either... I mean, Flipper managed to kill at least a dozen of them. So what we need is something super-intelligent with wings.
And I've got nothing.

Something occurred to me: I hope this won't be one of those Twilight Zone dealies where we end up creating a human. That would be a situation worthy of a comedy foghorn.
I'm gonna draw up a rough just to make sure we don't end up with a human.

I also think we should make sure that we don't literally make nature's greatest killing machine any sort of a machine. It's got to be all animal.

But what about something that's part animal and part machine? Because who could say "no" to a flying bear/shark with metal jaws?

And while the Bat/Shark looks pretty ferocious, it's missing one thing. Some bitchin' flame decals going down the side.

I'm glad it's an American killing machine.
God bless you, creature.

Now that I think of it, if it has to be a bat/shark combo, maybe the shark's brain can be engineered to be super-intelligent like in Deep Blue Sea. Those things were almost as scary as the writing in that movie.

So the Bat/Shark will devour Samuel L. Jackson?
Although, now that I've been referring to it as the Bat/Shark, I'm starting to think that he'd eventually have to fight Bat/Man...or Batman. That's kind of sad, really.

Or they'd team up to devour Samuel L. Jackson... but they can't kill him off mid-speech again. He'd hate that.
